Emerging Energy

We have been planning and executing large, complex projects in the United States since our beginning, and we have never failed to complete a project. From ground-up power facilities to refinery renovations, our industrial experience spans decades, and our execution processes have garnered success each time. Our depth of experience in multiple areas and industries of construction, design, engineering and consulting allows Zachry Engineering to easily transition into emerging technology. Our core competencies in the power, cement, refining and transportation markets translate across industries—including emerging energy facilities.

Cement

For nearly 10 years, we have been providing customers with an innovative approach to construction in the cement industry. Our model is true integration, successfully communicating with both the owner and the engineer to avoid pitfalls, and plan for future challenges. We implement front-end planning before the construction phase to help lower construction costs and predict accurate timelines. Our completed projects demonstrate the accuracy of our model as we continue to grow our expertise. As of 2008, we have constructed six cement facilities that have added approximately 9 million TPY to the market

Power

Throughout our 50-plus years in the power industry, we have consistently provided our customers with open communication, effective planning and unwavering integrity. Our cost-effective, innovative construction methods and world-class safety environment make us a preferred contractor for the building and maintenance of fossil-fueled facilities. Our experience prepares us to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing and competitive power market.

Pulp & Paper

For more than 40 years we have provided construction, procurement, maintenance and outage/shutdown services to the U.S. pulp and paper industry. The technical and management skills of our supervision, as well as our controls, safety, quality and employment systems provide customers with the resources to manage investments in mill expansions, reliability and maintenance, and major equipment replacement.

Refining & Petrochemical

Our team of skilled workers has been constructing, renovating and maintaining refineries for more than six decades; we know what it takes to finish a job on time and within budget. Our distinctive front-end planning approach benefits the customer in a market where tight schedules and accurate estimates are a must. Among difficult operating environments and ongoing operations, we are able to execute effectively to safely improve production capabilities. In 2007 alone, we completed more than 4 million workhours in operating refineries.

Nuclear

Zachry Nuclear, Inc. provides construction and engineering services to the nuclear industry, bringing together 34 years of design experience and 85 years of power construction history. On the brink of the U.S. nuclear renaissance, we have formed a group capable of high-quality design and construction that provides a single point of contact to the customer. We give the utmost care and strict adherence to safety and regulation requirements.
